The recipient of a doctorate in educational leadership from Southern Connecticut State University, Jack Zamary is an accomplished educator and administrator with more than 30 years experience in the public school system. After earning both a bachelor's and a master’s degree in music education, Jack Zamary began his career in education as a band director at several Connecticut-area schools.
In 1998, Dr. Zamary began to transition into administrative roles, including a director of fine arts position with Pomperaug Regional School District 15 and subsequent roles as principal and superintendent. During his time as superintendent with Monroe Public Schools, the district achieved its highest aggregate scores in both English and math.
Fueled by his fascination with the universality of how people learn, Jack Zamary’s doctoral dissertation focused on the use of Kim Marshall’s mini-observation model and how teachers responded to its use. His dissertation was featured at the Northeastern Educational Research Association and in an article published in “Communicator,” a publication for the National Association of Elementary Principals.
